When someone who has shared part of our life dies, we experience one of the strongest human emotions, grief. Grief is the natural response to bereavement, but the emotions we feel can leave us devastated and confused.
A funeral service is important as a way of bringing comfort to those left behind, and giving them an opportunity to pay their respects and say goodbye. It is often difficult at such a time to consider all the details involved, so I work closely with the funeral arranger to minimise the stress on the family.
However, to make the service a true reflection of the life of the deceased, as your Funeral Ceremony celebrant, I like to have input from family members or close friends. In this way, we can ensure the service will be a fitting tribute. We can incorporate stories, readings, music and rituals to create a service that is personal and special.
